The Patriots made a trio of selections in the 2025 draft to bolster the offensive line, two of which have been celebrated in a big way, and rightfully so. Will Campbell and Jared Wilson, selected 4th and 95th, respectively, are both projected to start on the offensive line this season, and both had strong outings against the Commanders.
The third player selected, however, may have done the most for himself in the game to improve his stock.
Seventh-round selection Marcus Bryant impressed at both left and right tackle, and he made the start on the right side with the absence of Morgan Moses. He played 44 offensive snaps, playing 30 on the right and 14 on the left.

Across his 44, he didn't allow a sack, was penalized just once, and had two pancake blocks. He was an impressive run blocker: in an early 3rd & 1 situation, he vice-gripped onto former fourth-overall selection Clelin Ferrell, which led to a 12-yard run. As a pass protector, he allowed just two pressures.
Marcus Bryant continues to move up the Patriots depth chart ahead of the 2025 season
The offensive line as a whole had a very strong night, with Demontrey Jacobs looking strong as a run blocker as a second tackle option. Given Bryant's start, though, he seems the clear swing tackle option over Jacobs.
It seems the only thing keeping him from that role, if his play continues, is currently injured Vederian Lowe, who started at left tackle for the team last season.
OL coach Doug Marrone undoubtedly likes what he has with the Missouri alum, who started at left tackle in college and boasts excellent size, standing at six feet eight inches. Whether as a swing tackle in 2025 or as a reserve/developmental player, there's no reason Bryant shouldn't be on the 53 if his play continues.
