Once it was clear that the Patriots were going to acquire receiver AJ Brown via trade with the Eagles earlier this week, there were a number of questions that immediately came to the minds of reporters and fans alike, mostly revolving around the lingering concerns about Brown's knee, which is rumored to be why the Rams backed out of early trade talks.
That put a lot of emphasis on his physical, and once he passed and was cleared to practice, one would assume that the conversation would be put to rest.
But that's far from the truth, even after seeing Brown participate in drills on the field, and he looked far from injured. It was a positive sign for those who were hesitant about the trade to begin with, and it was something reporters almost immediately brought up when the receiver stepped up to the podium for questions on Tuesday.
Fortunately, he had a bold response to the question, and now has a lot to live up to during the 2026 season.
AJ Brown doesn't hesitate to shut down concerns about his knee health
The newest Patriots' playmaker had several one-liners that caught the attention of fans for all the right reasons, and it would be fair to say that his response to questions about his knee issues is one of the best of the day.

That's a strong statement and could mean a lot of things to a lot of different people, and the fans will be holding him to the highest standard even more now.
The good thing is that Brown has proven time and time again that he's exactly the kind of player you think he is, and he is expected to be the best receiver the Patriots have had since Julian Edelman, with some already comparing him to the early days of Randy Moss in 2007.
He has the potential to be that kind of player for Drake Maye and have one of the best seasons of his career, just like he did with the Eagles in 2022, and there's an argument to be made about whether Maye is a more talented quarterback than Jalen Hurts.
Brown is stepping into a perfect situation to further establish himself as one of the best receivers in today's NFL, and his confidence and assuredness about the state of his knee only raise the bar for the 2026 season, which is certainly exciting.
All eyes will be on him once training camp starts, and the hope is that he will exceed even the grandest of expectations.
