It has been a few weeks since the 2025 NFL Draft concluded, but the Patriots continue to receive a lot of buzz regarding their rookie class. From taking the best left tackle in the first round, Will Campbell, and a top running back prospect in TreVeyon Henderson, to giving Drake Maye an explosive receiver option with Kyle Williams, it's hard not to be excited about what's to come for the team.

So far, most of the rookies have received a lot of hype around what they will bring to the Patriots this fall, with a lot of excitement surrounding the offense, in particular. With the return of Josh McDaniels as the offensive coordinator, the sky is the limit for how good the offense can be, which will only be better with the new players Mike Vrabel has added to the roster.

The easiest projection of who will make the biggest impact consistently goes to any player that Maye can utilize on game day, like Henderson or Williams. However, they're not the ones being projected to be the most impactful this fall.

Instead, Carmen Vitali of FOX Sports believes that player will be Will Campbell.

Will Campbell is predicted to make the biggest impact on the Patriots in 2025 for good reason

Considering how poorly the offensive line played for the Patriots in 2024, it's easy to get excited about an otherwise overlooked group. That's even more relevant this year with the addition of Campbell, the unanimous best tackle of the class, who will lock down Maye's blindside this fall.

That's why Vitali believes he will make the most significant impact for New England, by far, as he will be a big contributor in ensuring Maye stays on his feet by keeping defenders at bay.

"If there was any doubt Campbell was a Mike Vrabel kind of guy, he put it to rest when he said he would fight and die to protect his new quarterback, Drake Maye, as he fought back tears in his post-draft interview. That’s exactly the kind of tone-setting attitude you want for this Patriots offensive line, and Maye should breathe a little easier with Campbell now in front of him."

Although it might be easy for some fans to agree with her pick, it's also fair to assume most others would argue that players at more flashy positions like running back and wide receiver will make a more noticable impact.

While that may be true when looking at the stat sheet, having a reliable and consistent offensive line, especially a left tackle, should not go unnoticed. We saw just how much Maye dealt with as a rookie, and that shouldn't be the case this year with Campbell holding down the left side and seasoned veteran Morgan Moses at right tackle.

Because of that, Maye's performance will greatly improve beyond his impressive start and inevitably make the offense work much better. That makes Campbell's presence far more impactful than anyone else, as he brings stability to a group that has long needed help at left tackle.
