It has been a chaotic offseason for the Patriots so far, and not in a good way. For most of the last few weeks, the news surrounding the team has focused on allegations regarding Mike Vrabel and NFL insider Dianna Russini, as photos of the pair at an Arizona hotel were published online and prompted rumors of an affair.
Aside from initial comments from the head coach, there hasn't been much said from the organization on the matter. Russini has released a few statements and has since resigned from her position with The Athletic.
The silence from the Patriots changed on Tuesday morning, as Mike Vrabel spoke to the media for the first time and immediately addressed the situation head-on.
Mike Vrabel finally speaks on the lingering rumors regarding his Dianna Russini scandal
In his first public appearance since The Post published their story, Vrabel's opening statement addressed the situation and immediately took questions on the matter, as well.
"I've had some difficult conversations with people I care about about -- with my family, the organization, the coaches, the players. Those have been positive and productive. In order to be successful on and off the field, you have to make good decisions. That includes me. That starts with me."

We've already heard from the NFL, and they will not be seeking any punishment or beyond for Vrabel's alleged behavior.
While this might not be the end of the chatter, it should help shift the focus to the upcoming NFL Draft, as the Patriots have 11 selections and plenty of roster holes to fix.
