At this point in any NFL season, injuries begin to pile up across the league, and teams suffer on their way to making the postseason. The Patriots have been mostly fortunate on that front, though, until the past month when they lost multiple starters, most notably Will Campbell and Milton Williams, and now they're losing a ton of talent in their Week 16 game.

It began with Stefon Diggs exiting the game briefly after his first catch with what appeared to be a shoulder injury. Luckily, he was able to return to the game, but some of his teammates haven't been so fortunate.

Starting right tackle Morgan Moses looked like he would be ruled out at some point with a leg injury, only to come back in right before halftime, which couldn't have come at a better moment since his backup, Thayer Munford Jr., also left the game due to an injury.

Now, the Patriots are staring down a scary second half without several key players, including RB TreVeyon Henderson, DL Khyiris Tonga, and CB Charles Woods, who were all deemed questionable to return just as they went into halftime.

The Patriots came into Sunday night's matchup with a long list of injured players, which led to a few missing practices during the week. They were fortunate to be nearly all cleared to play in the game, and it's certainly made a difference, but now others are getting injured during the game.

The most concerning is Henderson, who has been an explosive part of the offense over the past several weeks. He looked to have hit his head hard off the turf and was being evaluated for a head injury, with the worst-case scenario being a concussion.

That would mean the offense would be without him for the rest of the game, maybe even into next week or longer, which is not a situation that Henderson or the Patriots want to be in.

Then there are concerns about Tonga, who has already been on the field as a jumbo lineman for the offense, and Woods, who provides the secondary with some solid depth, and whether they'll be able to return in the second half.

UPDATE:

WR DeMario Douglas has now been added to the injury list.
