If you were to argue that the idea of the Patriots trading for Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown has gotten to the point of being nauseating, you wouldn't be wrong, and unfortunately, it's only going to continue until a deal is ultimately made, likely after June 1.

Because of that, there are still some proposed trades to consider, and the latest from NESN's Daniel Fisher is looking like the best one to be put out there so far.

Assuming that if Mike Vrabel and Co. are willing to trade for Brown this summer, that means the 2026 Draft won't be part of the trade package. So all the focus will be on next year's class, which is already considered vastly better than 2026; therefore, making more selections next year will be far more valuable to a team like the Eagles.

So why not trade away a few future picks to get Brown on the roster?

The Patriots could possibly get away with a better deal (for them) in a trade for AJ Brown

Fisher proposes just that by including a second-round pick in 2027 as the main selling point of the trade, which is far better than the alleged first-round asking price by the Eagles. It's unlikely they'll get that, even if DJ Moore and Jaylen Waddle seemed to prove he should be.

The Patriots shouldn't give that kind of capital up, so this might be the most ideal trade possible, as long as the Eagles would accept it.

Although this is not exactly what the Eagles reportedly want in return for their superstar receiver, it's difficult to imagine that any team will be willing to give up anything higher for a player of Brown's age and with injury questions, maybe not even his former head coach from the Titans.

The Patriots are in greater need to bolster their receiving corps, however. So there is a chance they'd be willing to give Philadelphia exactly what they want, even if it seems like a mistake.

But if they deemed it a comfortable offer, so be it. It would be difficult to get upset about Brown finally being on the Patriots. At the same time, if they could get away with an offer like Fisher proposes, that would be even better for the investment in Brown and in those they can select in next year's draft.
