The Patriots are on the road this week for their final away game of the 2025 season, hoping to have a clean sweep and be the only team to go undefeated in other stadiums. It's a feat they haven't accomplished since the 2016 season, so it would be a massive accomplishment for a young team that wasn't expected to do much of anything this year, even more so with the potential MVP under center.
As they hope to reach a 13-3 record going into next week against the Dolphins, there is also a lot of hope from Patriots fans that Maye will be crowned the most valuable player this year based on his impressive performance for a second-year quarterback.
The fans have been a big part of the team's success this year, especially on the road, something even players have pointed out throughout the year.
They've shown up in droves all around the country, and on Sunday, it sounds like they are the majority at MetLife Stadium, so much so that MVP chants were heard after Maye threw his first touchdown.

If that isn't another indication that the Patriots really are back, then it's hard to say what is
Patriots fans let their feelings about Drake Maye be known even in New York
The excitement in New England over the past year should not be overlooked. Although they are certainly a spoiled fanbase given the team's success during the Bill Belichick and Tom Brady era, it has been a disappointing downfall in the years since.
The rest of the league certainly enjoyed it, specifically Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, but it has been a true test for diehard fans and their love for the historically great franchise.
Now that they are back on the right path with Maye as the quarterback of the future and Mike Vrabel leading the way, their infectious attitude has rubbed off on the fans, and they're making sure they show their support no matter where the team plays each and every week.
That will become more important during the postseason, as this young team hasn't experienced a playoff game together just yet. But it doesn't appear to be an issue, which is certainly exciting considering how bleak things had looked before the 2025 season.
