Over the past month, there has been a lot of discussion about the Patriots' receiving corps for the 2026 season, with most analysts suggesting they might have one of the best groups in the entire NFL after trading for A.J. Brown.
He joins a group led by Romeo Doubs, who was signed in free agency earlier this year, along with Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas, Mack Hollins, and Kyle Williams.
Although none are considered superstars of the same magnitude as Brown, projections already have the group being the most productive group the Patriots have had in a number of years, and that's an exciting development considering how unexciting the wide receiver room has been for far too long.
Most of the hype has surrounded Brown, but other players should be garnering more optimism, including Hollins. He's set to begin his second season in New England, and while his stat sheet might not be the most impressive, he has shown he can be a reliable weapon for Drake Maye on game day.
That was particularly true during the playoffs and the Super Bowl, as Hollins became the quarterback's go-to in the season's biggest games.
That is expected to continue this fall, and based on what we just saw from Hollins on social media, it's clear he's taking the role seriously and has seemingly reminded the league to watch out for what he can do in 2026.
There should be more hype around Mack Hollins' second season with the Patriots ahead of training camp
In a video posted to the Patriots' Twitter earlier this week, Hollins is seen working out in unusual ways, showing off his strength and speed in ways you don't often see from a player of his size.
It was an impressive sight, but perhaps the most noteworthy thing of all is that he is barefoot throughout it all, which isn't so shocking anymore after getting to know Hollins over the past year.

It's almost hard to imagine that this is a workout routine from a receiver and not a tight end, but that's the kind of player that Hollins is.
He was an under-the-radar performer for the Patriots last year, recording 46 catches for 550 yards and two touchdowns, and tallied his best performance in one of the biggest games of the season against the Bucs when he went for over 100 receiving yards.
Although he falls down the depth chart with the addition of Brown and Doubs, he's proven he can be a valuable part of what Maye needs from the receiving corps, especially as a deep threat, and it's exciting to think about what they can accomplish together this season.
Hollins is preparing like he's ready to make a big jump, and that's going to be one of the main parts of training camp to look forward to.
