Throughout the offseason, there has been a lot of talk about how the Patriots' offense will fare during the upcoming season for a number of reasons. Analysts and fans continue to question if enough work was done to put the group in a better position to succeed than they were just one year ago, especially with the receiving corps.

The group is expected to be led by Stefon Diggs, who was signed in free agency, along with DeMario Douglas and rookie Kyle Williams. But Diggs' availability for the season opener and beyond has long been a concern, with no answer in sight, even more so since he has been away from training camp recently.

However, that question was answered by Mike Vrabel on Monday morning, as he revealed that the receiver will be ready to go for Week 1, a feat not often achieved by a player who suffered an ACL tear just 10 months ago.

Although there might be some worries about how Diggs will look coming back from a significant injury, it's a massive win for the Patriots offense to have him in the lineup and for Maye to have his presumed number one weapon.

Stefon Diggs' Week 1 availability is a massive plus for the Patriots' starting offense

Given the questionable performance from the offense in totality during the preseason, it's crucial for the group to have their best players available as soon as the season begins. That's why it's especially important that Diggs will be on the field in the season opener, and fortunately for Maye, it hasn't looked like the receiver has taken a step back in his recovery.

In fact, we've seen the complete opposite because Diggs has been impressing with his training this offseason, looking well ahead of most who would be in his position.

On top of that, like Vrabel mentioned, he's been able to work with the quarterback to build chemistry before the games start to matter. That might be the biggest part of the offseason they needed to ensure happened, and fortunately, they've accomplished that with ease in Josh McDaniels's offensive system.

We'll now get to see that in Week 1 rather than having to wait who knows how long to finally see the Maye to Diggs connection in New England.
