Over the past few years, Matthew Judon had become known for his recruiting skills on social media, as he continuously tried to convince free agents or likely traded players that the Patriots were the team to go to. His pitch didn't work as often as he'd like, but it was still an admirable effort that fans appreciated during his three years in New England.

Now that he is no longer on the team, there is room for a new voice to convince players to join the Patriots and early on, it appears that will be wide receiver Kendrick Bourne.

Despite the hardships and chaos he has faced since signing with the team during the 2021 free agency spending spree, Bourne has long advocated his love of being on the Patriots and being a great place to play.

That is continuing with Mike Vrabel coming in as the new head coach and Bourne is already taking to Twitter/X to recruit top talent to make their way to the East Coast.

Kendrick Bourne doesn't miss the chance to send a message to old friend Cooper Kupp about the Patriots

With the latest reports suggesting that the Rams might be willing to move on from Cooper Kupp due to the salary cap and his dropoff of production since drafting Puka Nacua, he has been in the conversation as a potential target for the Patriots to sign or trade for this offseason.

That led to Bourne taking to his Twitter/X page to send a message to Kupp about becoming his teammate, even promising the impressive veteran that he would receive a lot of targets within their offense.

The pair were teammates at Eastern Washington University from 2013-16, so Bourne is certainly familiar with his production and work ethic. He also knows how badly the Patriots need a clear WR1, and Kupp would serve that role immediately for Drake Maye and the offense.

Kupp has been a mainstay for the Rams since he joined the team in 2017, recording 634 receptions for 7,776 yards and 57 touchdowns in the regular season. That is the kind of production the Patriots have longed for and haven't had on the team since Julian Edelman, who retired after the 2020 season.

Giving Maye a weapon of Kupp's caliber would elevate the offense, especially since they could also add more weapons through the draft or free agency. Although he's 31, adding another trusted veteran like Kupp brings stability to the offense that was lacking during the 2024 season and immediately makes the group more dynamic.

There are certainly questions about his health, given that he hasn't played a full season since the 2021season. However, his production has still been far more impressive than almost every Patriots receiver in that time, so it's a no-brainer for the Patriots to, at the very least, seriously consider adding Kupp to the roster.
