Since the New England Patriots traded for A.J. Brown, the writing has seemingly been on the wall for one other wide receiver in the room.

Kayshon Boutte has seen his name come up in trade rumors as someone who might be dealt now that the room is even more crowded, but that hasn't stopped him from staying positive and professional.

During some recent time with Patriots media, Boutte was asked about Brown and another newcomer, former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs. His assessment of Brown was essentially what every other Patriots fan would have said having seen him in practice:

"AJ, I mean, y’all see what I see. All the 50/50 balls is really 100/0 with him... Could win any matchup."

The fact of the matter is, any wide receiver in Boutte's position wouldn't be blamed if they kind of took a more mild approach, here. But Boutte spoke very highly of Brown. Telling the world Brown would win any 50/50 ball is a high compliment, and this is coming from a guy who is taking targets away from Boutte himself.

Speaking of taking targets away from Boutte, he also spoke highly of Doubs, referring to the versatility the former Packers wideout brings to the room:

“Romeo cool. I seen him play the slot a little bit, the outside… He a cool receiver ... gotta love both of em."

This situation is definitely unlike others that have happened in recent years around the league. Just look at the Brandon Aiyuk saga unfolding with the San Francisco 49ers. That's a disgruntled player who has handled everything about as poorly as you could amid his circumstances.

Players become unhappy all the time in the NFL, and for various reasons. Whether it's the desire for a new contract, seeing their role decrease due to added talent in their room, or for any other reason, this type of thing happens.

Meanwhile, even though Boutte has seen the Patriots invest heavily in two different players at his very position, he isn't visibly upset or holding a grudge. The way he's gone about his business has been fairly admirable, actually.

He has made it very clear that he loves New England, even publicly stating that he'd love to be there for the rest of his career -- and this came up recently while his name has come up in trade rumors.

In the end, this is a business, and I'm sure he understands that fact. Regardless of how this all shakes out, Boutte has handled it well and continues to be a great teammate as a member of the Patriots.
