The endless questions about how they'd feel if the Patriots traded for AJ Brown are finally going to come to an end now, and players won't have to give the politically correct responses anymore.
They can now share their assumed excitement, especially someone like quarterback Drake Maye, and speak about what Brown can bring to the offense and the wide receiver room. We know he's going to be a big asset on game day, and now that the trade is official, they can start to discuss what that might look like with certainty.
Because of that, it didn't take long for a barrage of responses from his new teammates to appear, with many taking to social media to react to the news.
It might not be nearly as effective as hearing them on camera, but their excitement is quite apparent online, and that means something, particularly at this stage of the offseason when the roster is starting to come together.
Patriots players react to the news that AJ Brown will be joining the roster
Before the trade was even announced, former Eagles star and current Patriots' defender Milton Williams took to Twitter/X to share his feelings on the matter with a simple gif of Batman.
It was in that moment that Patriots fans knew it was only a matter of minutes before the trade as made official.

Since then, we've already heard from legendary players WR Julian Edelman and TE Rob Gronkowski from their podcast's official Twitter/X account.
They re-shared a moment from their show when Brown was the guest and made everyone believe that he would inevitably join the roster of the team he grew up rooting for, and the team that made him cry when Bill Belichick chose to draft N'Keal Harry instead of him in 2019.
It's a full circle moment that Brown, and Patriots fans, have been waiting far too long for.

Despite the ongoing idea that he will be traded in a corresponding move to flesh out the wide receiver room, Kayshon Boutte shared the news on his Instagram stories, seemingly sharing his excitement over his newest teammate.
We'll have to see if the Patriots decide to keep both receivers around for the 2026 season, but all signs point to Boutte will be elsewhere.
More players chimed in as the news began to settle, with Cory Durden taking to Twitter to share his happiness.
We just got a whole lot better 🫶🏽
