The New England Patriots went into their Super Bowl LX pregame workout not knowing whether two of their most important defensive starters would be available to face the Seattle Seahawks in just a few hours.

Both Harold Landry III and Robert Spillane have dealt with injuries throughout the regular season and have missed a total of six games between them. They were mainly limited, if even active, during their playoff run, so questions were abundant about their availability for the Championship game.

But those are now answered with the final injury report of the season, as the Patriots do not have either linebacker listed as inactive for the game.

This is massive news for a defense that is being completely overlooked and could become a difference-maker in their efforts to slow down the Seahawks' explosive offense.

The Patriots will have their healthiest roster ready to go for Super Bowl LX

Landry and Spillane were signed to the Patriots' roster in free agency for specific purposes, with Landry immediately becoming the go-to pass rusher on the defensive line. He was on fire to start the season and looked well on his way to having a career year, but injuries stripped that chance.

He has been mostly held out of games over the past month, reportedly on a snap count in the playoffs to ensure he would be ready to go if they made the Super Bowl. That seems to have worked in their favor, and he is expected to take the field on Sunday. We're just not sure how much he will play.

The same can be said about Spillane, who missed more games than Landry during the regular season. They have also taken the cautious approach with the linebacker over the past few weeks, and hopefully that will pay off for the defense in the biggest game of the season.
