It feels like it has been a decade since the Patriots have been the team that free agents, or any player, for that matter, wanted to play for. After Tom Brady left, there was still some allure about New England as long as Bill Belichick was on the sideline.

But that left with the head coach in 2024, and luckily, it looks like it's back now that Mike Vrabel has arrived.

Other than being a desirable place to play for former Titans players who were already coached by Vrabel, the rise of Drake Maye and the return of Josh McDaniels have piqued many players' interest again, so the fact that the Patriots just ended their 2025 season in the Super Bowl has made them look even better.

It's already something a few of the most recent additions to the team have mentioned, including Dre'Mont Jones, who summed up his reasoning for signing a three-year contract in New England in a few simple words: Vrabel and winning.

Mike Vrabel is already making the kind of impact on the Patriots that Bill Belichick did in his early days

While speaking to reporters during an introductory meeting at Gillette Stadium on Thursday afternoon, Jones was asked about his decision to come to Foxboro, and it all has to do with the head coach and the most recent success that took them to the Super Bowl.

Although the Super Bowl didn't end the way the Patriots hoped, it's clear that their success and path to get there have made an impact across the league, to the point that players view them in a positive light.

That goes against the negativity surrounding them after the Seahawks steamrolled them. Fortunately, it has now gotten them some high-caliber players who want to help ensure they bring home a Lombardi sooner rather than later.

It's the kind of attitude and hunger the Patriots will need after getting so close to the finish line, and a player like Jones can help get them there.
