One of the most important aspects a rebuilding team needs to accomplish is find their franchise quarterback and have a solidified head coach that players would want to play for. The Patriots had that for a long time with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, but since they departed, they have struggled to get the players they need in the door.

It's a big reason Robert Kraft hired Mike Vrabel, and it has already paid off with the reaction from players on the team and those who chose to sign with them in the offseason.

And now, based on his performance so far this season, it's already looking like Drake Maye could attract players, too, which is exactly what the Patriots have needed. That will play a pivotal role next offseason when they'll need to add more talent to the roster, and fortunately, things are expected to only get better from here for the quarterback.

Drake Maye is turning into exactly what the Patriots need on and off the field

After another impressive win over the Titans last week, the Patriots released their mic'd-up footage from the game, in which linebacker Robert Spillane shared some interesting tidbits, including his take on Maye.

For a player who only signed with the team earlier this season and plays on defense, the quarterback has already made a strong impression on Spillane, an impression that will surely be felt by more of his teammates and future free agents the Patriots might be interested in signing.

Beyond what he does on game day, which is a big reason for the Patriots currently sitting in the second seed in the AFC playoff picture, Maye's mentality will also draw players to the team, as their future looks far brighter than it has in a long time.

The young quarterback adds the kind of excitement the Patriots have been lacking since Brady left five years ago, and because he's already performing at such a high level with just 19 career starts, players will love the potential he can lead the team.

Maye is exactly the spark New England needed in the post-Brady era, and he's already exceeding any expectations analysts had for the start of his career. He's now making more of an impact than anyone could have predicted, and it will be fun to see where he can take them and what players might want to head to Foxboro to continue their career because he is there.

That's just the latest Brady-like effect he's already having on the team and the league.
