The Patriots are set to return to Foxboro in a couple of weeks for the start of the first training camp under Mike Vrabel. There is a lot of excitement this offseason, especially with the new coaching staff, which also saw the return of offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, and the continued progression of quarterback Drake Maye, bringing out optimism among analysts and fans for the season ahead.

Because Maye impressed so much with how he handled an undesirable situation for his rookie season, there is hope that the new regime made enough moves to surround him with the right talent to elevate his game further in year two.

There is a particular curiosity stemming from the wide receivers they added to the roster, like Stefon Diggs and rookie Kyle Williams, and training camp will be the first real time we see the quarterback working with his new weaponry.

We got a tease of that earlier this week, as photos and videos were posted to social media on Monday, with several offensive players joining together to have a pre-training camp workout.

Several offensive Patriots players joined up for a bonus summer practice to boost chances of winning in 2025

Based on what we've seen, it appears that Maye had quite the crew with him, which included veteran quarterback Josh Dobbs, receivers Kendrick Bourne, Stefon Diggs, DeMario Douglas, Ja'Lynn Polk, and Kyle Williams.

They also had running back Rhamondre Stevenson and tight end Hunter Henry present, giving the second-year quarterback an extra practice to add to his summer activities.

Whoever organized the workout was not made clear, but does it really matter? It's a great sign to see the team wanting to work together even before training camp begins, and Maye having another opportunity to build chemistry with his teammates, which is even more crucial with players like Diggs and Polk, who were unable to fully practice during the spring.

This adds even more excitement for the fans to look forward to, and maybe it's the Mike Vrabel effect on the team, something most were hoping would make a positive impact on them moving forward.
