For the last five years, thanks to Tom Brady's departure from the division, the Buffalo Bills have reigned supreme in the AFC East, winning the division each season. That was projected to continue this season, since many analysts keep moving the goalposts on their Championship window, but it has not come to fruition this year because of the New England Patriots.
Despite most predictions suggesting they would win only a few more games than they have over the last two seasons, they have defied the odds and are currently on a seven-game win streak, with their latest win coming on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Seeing now that they look like a legitimate team that cannot be credited for winning solely based on their presumed easy schedule, Bills fans are not too thrilled that their biggest competition in the division, who were their big brother for two decades, is back in every way possible, with their win over the Bucs making their blowout loss to the Dolphins even worse.
Although we shouldn't celebrate the misery of other fan bases, it's difficult not to feel some joy seeing Bills fans unhappy with how the Patriots are faring, given all the trash talk they've engaged in over the last few years.
Patriots fans can enjoy their latest win, and the Bills' latest loss, a bit more now
They were quick to discuss the Patriots' latest win after dealing with an embarrassing loss to what were the 2-7 Dolphins on their subreddit, as shared by one Patriots fan.
Besides the idea that misery loves company, which opened the door for rightful venting by some of the Bills' biggest fans online, they also seemed to have already forfeited the division to the Patriots, as they are now two games ahead of Buffalo for the AFC East title.

They are well on track to take the division back this season, after not being awarded it since Brady was under center.
There are still seven games left this year, including another against the Bills at Gillette Stadium, so there is plenty of time for each team's fate to change; however, the Patriots have already solidified themselves as a legitimate contender, whereas the Bills have done the complete opposite.
On top of that, New England has a much better schedule to look forward to, including their bye week, and the same cannot be said about the Bills. That works in the Patriots' favor, and it'll be their division to lose the rest of the way.
