On a team level, the Super Bowl is a chance to experience the thrill of championship glory as a unit, the euphoria of triumph as a team with memories to last a lifetime. On an individual level, that's already a lot to play for, but some members of the New England Patriots' roster are looking at free agency in just over a month, and that has the benefit of adding some extra incentive in the team's upcoming showdown against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
Anyone associated with a title-winning team is going to make some extra scratch just by association, as losing franchises hope such signings help instill a winning culture. But the market will also reward specific players who come up big when the world is watching, and some Patriots players could become household names in a matter of hours.
Let's take a look at three Patriots players who stand to make a lot of money next month in free agency with a strong showing against the Seahawks.
Super Bowl LX could make all the difference for some Patriots players headed for free agency.
K'Lavon Chaisson, DL
K'Lavon Chiasson has already set out to accomplish what he'd hoped for the 2025 campaign (and more) when he signed a single-season prove-it deal with New England last spring. His deal was loaded with incentives that he met with ease after putting up stronger-than-expected production for the Pats up front, including $500K bonuses for both 5 and then 7 sacks on the season. Chiasson also had incentives for playing even 40 percent of defensive snaps, but Chiasson is sitting near 70 percent on the year. He's already earned himself a multi-year deal, with Spotrac calculating his market value at $9M per season. If he flexes in Super Bowl LX, the big-game showing could take that beyond the $10M annual mark.
Khyiris Tonga, DL
It'd be hard to find any Patriots fan who could have projected what Khyiris Tonga would have meant to Mike Vrabel's roster after he was signed to a one-year deal worth up to $2.1 million in free agency a year ago. Tonga essentially replaced Davon Godchaux, who was traded to the New Orleans Saints, and came up much bigger than his expected role as a part-time run-stuffer. Instead, he's provided some interior disruption and even provided some meaningful blocking reps on offense. Just like Chiasson, Tonga's already getting a raise in 2026, likely from the Patriots, but if he can make a splash against the Seahawks, the length and amount of that next contract should escalate.
Jaylinn Hawkins, DB
The Patriots made room for Jaylinn Hawkins to grow as a late bloomer this year by trading Kyle Duggar and releasing Jabrill Peppers. In return, Hawkins delivered a career year at safety after returning to the team on a one-year deal worth up to $1.8 million. (Do you sense a theme here?) His 15 starts were his most since 2022 and his 4 interceptions and strong overall performance in the Pats' secondary will secure many multiples of that amount in '26. Some doubters will point to spotty and inconsistent production in the past before rewarding him with a lucrative multi-year deal, but some memorable moments in Super Bowl LX could make it easier to extend such an offer.
