The New England Patriots seem far away from the Super Bowl at this moment, but these three moves can get them back to the big game.  Before you come at me in the comments, we’ve seen huge turnarounds in the NFL before.

Teams among the worst in the league won playoff games this past season.  These types of transformations are firmly possible, and I don’t see why the Patriots couldn’t be that next team.

We are at a point in the offseason where some of these moves aren’t likely going to happen, but I think if the Pats did want to give themselves the absolute best chance to win a Super Bowl in 2023, they’d attack the rest of the offseason like this:

Acquire Lamar Jackson

We’ve talked about Lamar Jackson on this website for what seems like months now, and for good reason.  He’s a dynamic quarterback and is already the best dual-threat passer of all time.  There’s no denying how great Jackson can be.

He’s made multiple Pro Bowls and won the MVP in 2019.  He’s also won over 70% of his regular season starts.  He didn’t accomplish these things accidentally.

Lamar Jackson would immediately make the Patriots the favorites in the division, especially with a likely top 10 defense they’ll field in 2023.  Pairing Jackson with a great offensive mind in Bill O’Brien is also a nice bonus.
