The Patriots have already been in many rumors about acquiring more help for Mac Jones and the offense this offseason. Those rumors may have no plans on slowing down after this tweet from NFL Insider Dov Kleiman about a potential star WR on the move.

Earlier this afternoon, Twitter was hit with the news that, in the right circumstances, star Bengals receiver Tee Higgins may be on the trade block in Cincinnati.

This report got Twitter talking. The talk even got the attention of Tee himself, who responded to it on Twitter:

If these reports are accurate, the Patriots should 100% be picking up the phone when the time comes. The Patriots have the fit, cap, and need that all fit what Tee Higgins would be looking for if traded to a new team.

This could be a very similar situation to what the Titans went through last offseason. Tennessee traded their star WR, A.J. Brown, to the Philadelphia Eagles in what has been a crucial part of their team success this season, ultimately leading them to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

A potential Tee Higgins trade could do the same for the Patriots next season, so if it’s on the table, the Patriots should jump on it.

However, the question then becomes: what is the compensation for a player like Tee Higgins? And do the Patriots have enough assets to support it?
