Let’s conduct a final report on who led the Patriots in receiving touchdowns.

Looking deeper into the New England Patriots wide receiver statistics, here is what they show.

Our mid-season report projected Jakobi Meyers to lead the team in receiving touchdowns. Meyers was steadfast all year long and held a high position in the receiving core. But did this stay the same after our analysis in week 11?

Meyers ended the 2022 season with 67 receptions, 804 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns (ESPN).

When comparing his statistics to last season, they may seem bleak. However, Meyers had 83 receptions for 866 yards (more than this season) and two touchdowns. These numbers prove that Meyers can produce in a big way, despite having fewer receptions and yards this year.

During this season, DeVante Parker totaled three touchdowns, Hunter Henry, Nelson Agholor, and Tyquan Thornton had two scores each, while Kendrick Bourne and Ty Montgomery had one a piece (CBS).

Kendrick Bourne only having one touchdown, with little to no field time, left spectators very confused. He was on track to become one of Mac Jones’ main guys on the offense.

Jakobi Meyers was targeted the most out of any receiver on the team (96 times), with Bourne coming in second with 48 targets. This significant target difference poses an interesting position for the Patriots and their offense.

Meyers is set for free agency this year. Will the Patriots re-sign him? #16 has said that he wants to stay in New England.

Before the 2022 season began, our projections were put on Meyers to lead the team in receiving touchdowns. Now, at the end of the season, this prediction was a smart one to make. Meyers did lead the team in receiving touchdowns. Assuming he stays in New England, will he remain the top dog, or will a new offensive line step up to help turn this rocky team around?
