Much attention has been raised to New England Patriots QB Mac Jones. However, it may not be the attention he wanted. Due to Jones’ antics, many former Patriots players have expressed frustration or disappointment in his leadership. Most recently, veteran DT and former Patriot Vince Wilfork shared his feelings toward Jones during an NBC Sports Boston interview.

"“I’m tired of that, honestly. I’m tired of it,” Wilfork said. “You’re the leader of this team. You’re a quarterback. So you can’t be frustrated every single week, every single play. I don’t care if you’re getting the play called in late or whatever it may be. At the end of the day, you have to show some poise because you do operate the ship. You’re the head of the ship when you’re out there.“Control what you can control. That’s all you can do. But I’m tired of seeing him throwing a fit and a temper tantrum.”"

A pattern appeared after former Patriot WR Julian Edelman lit the second-year quarterback up for having “pissy faces and waving off coaches.” One can agree that the distractions are becoming abundantly clear within the struggling Patriots offense. The 2022-23 Patriots are beginning to become unrecognizable to many Patriots supporters out there.

The Patriots’ offensive struggles continue

Countless mistakes every week continue to hurt this talented Patriots team. It’s clear the Patriots aren’t happy they’re sitting at 7-8 with the most challenging schedule to close out the season. This past weekend, the Patriots fell short of the Cincinnati Bengals and look to take on the Miami Dolphins. This is a must-win if the Pats want to push for the playoffs.

In the last two weeks, the Patriots have fallen short in a serendipitous manner. Hopefully, this is the week they can seal their fate to the playoffs to compete for a Super Bowl.
