Top 4 Player Prop Bets for Week 16: #3

Bengals WR Tyler Boyd over 32.5 receiving yards (-115) – DraftKings Sportsbook

Tyler Boyd is a luxury in an offense that also features Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. This year, he’s been asked to work on the outside while Chase was out with a hip injury. Outside of his natural position and drawing tougher matchups, Boyd hasn’t always produced at the level he’s capable of.

However, when both Chase and Higgins are healthy, Boyd is able to slide back inside to the slot and feast in an offense that throws the ball roughly 37 times per game. For example, in a Week 7 matchup against Atlanta, Boyd had eight grabs for 155 yards and a touchdown. In 14 games this year, Boyd is averaging over five targets and 49 yards per game, with five touchdowns to his credit. He has only four games under the 32.5 number.

In this one, he’s expected to draw Patriots cornerback Myles Bryant. While the Patriots defense is a strength for the team, Myles Bryant has been a lowlight in a secondary with 14 interceptions (2nd in the NFL). At times this season, Bryant has been hunted, allowing a 68% catch rate and 99.8 passer rating.

I expect the Patriots to bracket both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, leaving Boyd plenty of opportunities underneath. Hayden Hurst could also be a major beneficiary, should he return from injury as expected. I expect Boyd to have three or four grabs in this one for north of 40 yards.
