Top 4 Player Prop Bets for Week 15: #1

Raiders WR Davante Adams over 6.5 receptions (+100) – DraftKings Sportsbook

This feels familiar, doesn’t it? In recent weeks, we have cashed tickets on both Stefon Diggs and DeAndre Hopkins, bringing in over 6.5 receptions. Justin Jefferson gave the league the blueprint on Thanksgiving with nine grabs, 139 yards, and a touchdown. Diggs followed suit with seven grabs, 92 yards, and a touchdown. Hopkins last week had seven receptions for 79 yards.

Things don’t get easier for the Patriots’ secondary with Davante Adams on deck. Adams leads the league in targets with 142, has brought in 82 receptions (5th), 1,247 yards (3rd), and 12 touchdowns (1st). He’s been an All-Pro for each of his last two seasons. He’s as elite as they get at the receiver position.

It will be interesting to see how the Patriots try to defend him. Against Jefferson and Diggs, the Patriots used Jonathan Jones as a shadow more times than not. With Mills out last week, the Patriots initially elected to use rookie Jack Jones against Hopkins, moving Jonathan Jones to cover Marquise “Hollywood” Brown on the other side.

With Jalen Mills ruled out again in Week 15 and Jack Jones questionable, the secondary will have its hands full against Adams. Since Week 9, Adams is averaging 7.3 receptions on 12.3 targets for a ridiculous 122.5 yards per game. He’s gone under seven receptions only once in that span.

Unfortunately, I am going to make this bet every week until the Patriots’ secondary shows me it can corral an elite wideout. I expect eight or nine grabs here for Adams this week, and this is my play of the day.
