Key matchups for the Patriots in week fifteen
Patriots secondary vs. Davante Adams

Another week, another tough matchup for the Patriots secondary as they face Davante Adams on Sunday. Adams has not missed a beat since coming over from the Packers in an off-season trade. The highest-paid receiver in the league has been worth every penny of the $140 million contract so far as he ranks fifth in receptions (82), third in yards (1,247), and tied for first in touchdowns (12). His 142 targets are almost double the amount of the Raiders’ second-leading receiver Mack Hollins (77). He also can make catches like this:

After getting shredded the past few weeks, the Patriots’ secondary held their own against Arizona’s Deandre Hopkins on Monday night, even forcing him into a crucial fumble that turned into a scoop and score for the defense.

Now the question is, how will they match up with Adams? Jalen Mills has still been limited with a groin injury, and Jack Jones has not practiced all week after suffering a knee injury on Monday. I imagine we could see a mix of Jonathan Jones and Marcus Jones, who played an extended role for the first time all season on Monday, as well as some safety help. No matter who is on Adams, it will be a tough matchup.
