The New England Patriots are 6-4 going into their Thanksgiving matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. How many more wins are on their schedule?  The team is entering their home stretch and unfortunately, the hardest stretch of games they will play in 2022.

Their matchup on Thursday night is against the 8-2 Minnesota Vikings.  After their game tonight, they will face the Bills two times, Dolphins again, and the Raiders, Cardinals, and Bengals.  Five of their last seven games are against teams with a winning record, and I think the team will need to win four of their last seven to have a chance at the playoffs.

Which of their last seven games can they win?

Well, to me, I see two wins more wins on their schedule at the very least.  The matchups against the Raiders and Cardinals seem to be wins to me.  These two 2021 playoff teams both look disastrous in 2022.

That would bring them to eight wins on their.  Of their games against the Vikings, Dolphins, and Bills twice, do we have two more wins?  I think their best chance at nine wins comes on Thanksgiving against the Vikings.

Minnesota has been in a ton of one score games this year, and neither their offense or defense are particularly elite as their record might suggest.  I also think having a rookie head coach makes a team more vulnerable to “trap games.”

The Vikings did just lose at home by 37 points to the Dallas Cowboys last week.  After this game, the Patriots play on Thursday night again against the Bills.  I’m not sure the team is going to be able to win either of their divisional games against Buffalo.

The Dolphins are also a scary team.  Their offense is on quite the pace and Tua Tagovailoa is an MVP candidate.  The unfortunate reality about the Patriots is while their defense is plenty good enough to beat any team, their inept offense is going to hold the team back, especially against high-octane offenses like Miami and Buffalo.
