Key matchups to watch as Patriots take on Jets for playoff positioning

Key matchups for the Patriots in week eleven

Matthew Judon/Deatrich Wise/Josh Uche vs. Jets tackles

The Patriots were able to overcome an abysmal offensive performance in week eight partly because of the turnovers they generated off of Jets quarterback Zach Wilson. While they were only able to sack Wilson twice, the pass rush made his afternoon one to forget. the trio of Judon (four pressures), Wise (five pressures) and Uche (sack) pressured Wilson all afternoon and forced him into three bad interceptions.

Wilson doesn’t get sacked often, just 12 times in six games this season, but the pressure forces the young quarterback to throw off balance and on the run. That’s where mistakes happen. In his career against the Patriots (three games), Wilson has now only completed 53.6% of his passes with two touchdowns and seven interceptions, by far the most against any opponent. Jets tackle Duane Brown has been on the injury report with a shoulder injury this week and the Patriots will need Judon, Wise and Uche to provide the pressure off the edge all afternoon.
