Betting lines and predictions for Patriots in week eleven
The New England Patriots and New York Jets are fresh off their bye weeks in a very crucial week eleven clash that could shape up the division. So far, I’m not sure there’s been a more important game for New England until this game on Sunday.
The team is 5-4 and Jets are 6-3. The loser then sits at the bottom of the AFC East, which features all four teams with a winning record and is perhaps the best division in football. Patriots’ HC Bill Belichick is insane after the bye week, in a good way.
New England is also playing at home which is a huge boost. The first matchup was on October 30th and was a five point win for the good guys. Zach Wilson was inefficient against a tough Patriots’ defense.
Betting lines for Patriots in week eleven
According to FanDuel currently, the Patriots are 3.5 point favorites over the Jets. The odds for the Patriots to cover are -102. The moneyline odds for the Patriots are set at -168, and the over/under point total is 38.5.
If these numbers were the same for their last matchup, the Patriots would have covered the spread and the two teams would have hit the over. For this game, I think New England wins, but for my weekly parlay, I am just doing the Patriots’ moneyline.
I may switch it up and have them cover the spread instead. To me, there are too many advantages to count for the home team in this one. This could be a touchdown or more win for the team. If you’re someone who likes the underdog, taking the Jets is this one is smart. Don’t let the Jets’ 6-3 record fool you. I find them to be a bit fraudulent and think that there are a bunch of teams in the AFC who are better than them.
Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
How will the Patriots do in week eleven?
I like the matchup again. I was a bit surprise admittedly that the team was able to beat the Jets the first time, but given the circumstances, I am very confident that New England will walk away with a win on Sunday.
Expect the defense to make Zach Wilson’s life hard again as the second year QB will again be the downfall of the team. Matthew Judon should hopefully take the QB down a few times in search of perhaps setting the single season sack record.
The defense is also in a good position to intercept Zach Wilson once or more.
