Five bold predictions for Patriots in week nine
Rhamondre Stevenson scores at least two touchdowns
Stevenson has really taken off in his second season and has especially become a weapon in the passing game, securing 15 receptions on 15 targets the last two weeks. This enhances his opportunities within the offense to get in the endzone as he’s no longer just a running threat. The Patriots will most likely be without running back Damien Harris (illness) on Sunday, leaving Stevenson as the lead back once again. The last time we saw Stevenson without Harris, he scored two touchdowns in the victory over Cleveland.
This week he gets a strong Colts defense led by DeForest Buckner and Shaquille (formerly Darius) Leonard, who will be on a pitch count as he works his way back from injury. The Colts are middle-of-the-pack when it comes to stopping the run and have given up seven rushing touchdowns on the season. They’ve also given up the seventh-most receptions to running backs (47) on the season so look for Stevenson to have an impact.
