Five bold predictions for Patriots in week nine

The teams combine for at least three turnovers

These are two very turnover prone teams. In fact, the Patriots and Colts are tied with the New Orleans Saints for the NFL lead in turnovers with 16. A lot of those turnovers for the Colts came with Matt Ryan (nine interceptions, three lost fumbles) at quarterback and while Sam Ehlinger did not throw an interception in his first career start last week, he did lose a fumble. For the Patriots, Mac Jones has been responsible for half of the turnovers (seven interceptions, one lost fumble) despite missing three games. He has thrown at least one interception in every game he’s played this season.

Unlike the Colts, the Patriots have weathered the storm because they have been able to force turnovers themselves. The Patriots have forced 16 turnovers (10 interceptions, six fumbles) on the season and have forced at least two turnovers in six of their past seven games. Look for turnovers on Sunday.
