Five bold predictions for the Patriots in week eight

Mac Jones throws for at least two touchdowns

Bill Belichick has stated that Jones is his guy for this week and the fact that he was off of the injury report entirely tells me that he will not have any limitations. Barring an aggravation of his ankle injury, I don’t think we see Bailey Zappe again against the Jets. This is Jones’ game and I think he plays well.

Jones was able to get out on the field last week to get a sense of what game action feels like and after a full week of practice taking the first team reps, he will be more prepared. Even though the Jets have a stout defense led by a good secondary, I think the Patriots can move the ball and look for Jones to take advantage of matchups in the red zone targeting tight ends or DeVante Parker.
