Five bold predictions for the Patriots in week eight

Matthew Judon reaches 10 sacks for the season

So far the crown jewel of the Patriots 2021 free agent spending spree, Judon is off to another hot start in 2022 as he leads the NFL with 8.5 sacks through seven games. He’s currently on pace for just over 20 sacks but faces speculation as he was not able to maintain his fast start a year ago. Judon had nine sacks through the first nine games last year but could only muster 3.5 sacks in the remaining eight games.

I think Judon’s fast start continues on Sunday against a Jets team that has surrendered 17 sacks. Last year, Judon had one sack and four pressures in the two games between the teams and faces a banged-up Jets offensive line. 1.5 sacks on Sunday would give Judon an even 10 for the season and I think he gets there.
