Fill roster with quality offensive firepower

As we know, the league is continuing to barrel towards an offensive-centric group of teams.

All of the best offenses in the NFL share a few things in common.

One of which the Patriots do not currently have, and that’s elite firepower on this side of the ball.

Patrick Mahomes has Travis Kelce, and had Tyreek Hill for years.  Josh Allen has Stefon Diggs. Derek Carr has Darren Waller and Davante Adams.  Russell Wilson has Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.

Kirk Cousins has Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson.  The point here is that, while I think the Patriots’ weapons are fine, they likely aren’t going to be enough to keep up with the big boys, and that’s where the Patriots will ultimately fall short.

They need to improve their draft strategy and jump on opportunities to sign big-name free agents on offense if the chance arises.

The team cannot cycle through “just OK” players, especially if they want to continue rolling with Mac Jones.
