Three best moves in offseason for the New England Patriots: Acquiring DeVante Parker from the Miami Dolphins

DeVante Parker has been a revelation so far in Patriots training camp.  It was clear that Mac Jones did not have a clear cut top wide receiver.  Sure, both Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne were reliable, but they weren’t that guy.

So far, it looks like DeVante Parker has been that guy for Mac Jones, giving the offense yet another solid option to work with.

Parker, a former first round pick, had a stellar 2019 season with the Dolphins with 1,202 receiving yards and nine touchdown catches.

However, Parker only has that year as his lone 1,000 yard receiving season, and his career thus far hasn’t lived up to his former first round pick pedigree.

Could DeVante Parker regain his 2019 form with Mac Jones in 2022?  I think it’s possible.

Parker didn’t exactly have the best quarterback situations during his time as  Dolphin.

I think Parker and Mac Jones can both help each other enjoy strong seasons.  Opposing defenses will likely have to deal with Parker, Meyers, Bourne, both Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson, and tight ends Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith.

There are plenty of weapons on the Patriots, and a good receiver like Parker should be able to take advantage of that.
