3 lofty goals for the New England Patriots in 2022: Make the playoffs and silence the doubters

There are surely many people within NFL media and the general NFL landscape who simply do not buy the Patriots in 2022.

They’ve been out in a terrible spot for 2022, however, their last lofty goal could be to simply make the playoffs.

With the Buffalo Bills likely a shoe-in to win the division, the Dolphins looking promising, and the Jets fielding a solid roster, it’s likely that the Patriots may not be able to easily win games against the latter mentioned teams anymore.

Getting buried in their division standings would be a tough thing to overcome, and being able to make the playoffs would be even tougher.

I really think there are only a couple teams who have virtually no shot to make the playoffs, and I think it’s likely that we see more than half of the conference finish with a winning record.

If 10 teams made the playoffs in each conference, I’d be more open to it being a possibility, but with only seven teams getting in, I don’t think it’s likely.

However, Bill Belichick is a genius, and I’m sure if anyone could navigate through this tough season, it’s him.
