With the AFC being so talented, the Patriots have been counted out by some. Here are three bold predictions for the 2022 season.

Even with their 10-7 season last year, many haven’t been too high on the Patriots for the 2022 season.  To be fair, they didn’t have the best of offseasons, but their main structure is in place; they’ve got the quarterback, great coaching, and a very good defense.

So, the team has, to some extent, everything they need to have a very good 2022.

While most across the NFL might not be counting on the Patriots for this season, I think there is hope for them.

They may need a ton of things to go right, but that has happened many times before.  We did just see the Bengals come out nowhere to make a magical Super Bowl appearance.

Why can’t the Patriots do the same thing?

Let’s get crazy, and make three bold predictions for the New England Patriots in the 2022 season.

Three bold predictions for the 2022 Patriots: Mac Jones throws 35 touchdowns, gets MVP votes

I think a very, very deep sleeper for the MVP award in 2022 is Mac Jones.  His 2021 season was historic for a rookie; he was more efficient than a ton of quarterbacks and looks poised to explode in 2022.

His quick chemistry with DeVante Parker should hopefully give him a boost this season.  He also has the fortune of playing behind a solid offensive line, and has two reliable running backs to assist in Rhamondre Stevenson and Damien Harris.

The tight end duo of Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith is quite good as well.

Truth be told, Mac Jones has everything he needs to have a prolific season passing the ball.

We’ve seen insane production from Patriots’ offenses from Tom Brady, so why couldn’t Mac Jones put together a 35+ touchdown season?  He can make the throws, has the work ethic, has the coaching, and has adequate weapons.

I think it’s only a matter of time before we see Jones explode and turn into a borderline elite player.
