Madden 23 ratings were released recently. Where do some notable New England Patriots rank among the league with their updated rating?

Madden 23 ratings have been gradually released recently, and it’s worth taking a dive into where some of the Patriots’ rank with their ratings.

Starting with Mac Jones, the team’s quarterback, he earned himself a 78 overall rating, which ranks 17th among quarterbacks.

I think Mac Jones will take a sizeable leap in year two and find himself in the 80s for next year’s Madden game.

Jones finds himself ahead of quarterbacks like Baker Mayfield, Jimmy Garoppolo, Jameis Winston, Jalen Hurts, and Carson Wentz.

Among edge rushers, Matt Judon finds himself with an 87 overall rating, coming off a career year in 2021.

This actually ranks 27th among edge rushers in the NFL.  I do think this is a very solid rating for Judon.  Being ranked in the high 80s in a video game means nothing in the grand scheme of things, but it does reflect very good on-field performances.

If Judon has another big season in 2022, I would expect Judon to approach the coveted 90 overall rating tier.

Matt Judon is a difference maker for the Patriots, and his Madden rating proves it.

New addition to the wide receiver room, DeVante Parker ranks 37th in the NFL among overall wide receiver ratings with an 82 overall rating.

Parker’s rating is higher than players like Christian Kirk, Kenny Golladay, and AJ Green.

Three other Patriots’ receivers, Kendrick Bourne, Nelson Agholor, and Jakobi Meyers, are all ranked 80 or 81.

If nothing else, the Patriots to have a room that has a very, very high ceiling, which might benefit the team on the field.

Let’s take a look at some Patriots’ runningbacks.

Damien Harris is the top overall Patriot running back, with an 82 overall rating.

Harris has a 91 speed rating and 92 acceleration rating as well.  His overall rating is 21st overall among runningbacks, ahead of players like Javonte Williams, Miles Sanders, and JK Dobbins.

Lastly, the New England has an overall team rating of 81, which ranks 21st among all teams in the league.

I do think this is an accurate rating, as the team was not able to counter their offseason losses with notable additions.  I also would expect the team to be fighting for a playoff spot the entire season, so in terms of power rankings, I would expect them to finish a few spots higher.
