3. Week 13 vs Buffalo Bills on TNF

This will be the first time the Patriots face the Bills in 2022, and it’ll be on Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime. Weird. Don’t like the sound of it.

We also don’t like that the Pats will have to sit on getting outscored by Buffalo 80-38 in their final two matchups of last season for 13 weeks. Perhaps letting the anger fester will help, though.

Anyway, we’re not sure how much more there can be said about this one. Assuming the AFC East plays out like the dogfight it’s expected to, this will be a highly anticipated matchups between two teams that went down to the wire in 2021. The Bills are returning all of their star players and will have Tre’Davious White back after he tore his ACL in late November of last year. They also added Jamison Crowder to the passing game.

Much like the matchup with Arizona, this will require one of three things: the Patriots to control the clock like they did in Buffalo last year; Mac Jones to go toe-to-toe with one of the best QBs in the NFL; or for the defense to put on a masterclass.

It’s a division game, though, so anything goes. And at least the Pats will have their home crowd behind them as they try to get the sour taste out of their mouths against the new AFC East behemoths.
