Tom Brady’s absurd contract details with FOX Sports revealed

Former legendary New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who apparently hates spending time with his family like it’s the literal plague, has officially cemented his first post-retirement venture.
Whenever that day comes, of course. Almost happened a few months ago! Didn’t happen. Again, the family thing.
When Brady hangs ’em up, his first stop will surprisingly be the broadcast booth instead of the owner’s box. TB12 has accepted a job as FOX’s lead NFL analyst alongside their top game-caller Kevin Burkhardt. And he’s apparently so interested in the position that he’s chosen to work for free!
Kidding. No, he hasn’t.
Brady will have to pore over the history books and stat roundups all summer long as soon as he pulls the ripcord on his career, because the dollars dictate he has stunningly high expectations to meet.
For 10 years and $375 million, how could you say no to anything?!

Life only lasts so long, but considering how few eggplants Brady’s eaten, 10 years is probably a drop in the bucket to the great gunslinger. So why not try something new, in exchange for a tremendous payday?
After years of taking discounts with the Patriots so Bill Belichick could improve the roster elsewhere, clearly Brady no longer cares about the potential effects on FOX’s payroll if he absorbs most of it with a megalith deal. No room to overpay a lead play-by-play man? Who cares! You’ve already got Brady in place. Go bargain hunting. He believes he can elevate the competition.
Brady’s $375 million contract could easily cause a ripple throughout the market, too. Tony Romo and Troy Aikman’s “massive” deals with CBS and ESPN have now been lapped; combined, the two men still make less annually than Brady will whenever he joins the workforce. Romo’s already proven adept at his color job. If reviews for Brady are less than stellar, one would have to think the ex-Cowboy would hold that against his current employer in future negotiations.
Brady’s deal more than doubles what Tony Romo is getting at CBS and Troy Aikman is getting at ESPN.

In order to succeed in the booth, Brady will have to train himself to be quick on his feet. While his social media presence is superb and his sideline energy has become legendary, all of those public appearances are highly manicured or just screaming.
Justifying the highest analyst salary in league history will take serious work — but you can’t say this fella hasn’t outworked his peers before.
