2. 2014 AFC Divisional Round vs. Ravens

We could honestly make a separate list of Brady’s “most underrated comebacks,” but the comeback he orchestrated against the Ravens in the 2014 AFC Divisional Round is up there with the best performances of his career.

In terms of momentum shifts, the Patriots trailed by two touchdowns on two separate occasions. It sounds impossible, but Baltimore scored the first two touchdowns, the next two were scored by the Patriots, followed by two more from the Ravens and another two from New England.

It wasn’t until 5:13 left in the fourth quarter that the Pats took their first lead. Trailing 31-28, Brady led a 10-play, 75-yard drive that he capped with a 23-yard touchdown throw to Brandon LaFell. Brady finished 8-of-9 on the drive and even ran for a first down.

For the game, though, he was 33-of-50 for 367 yards and four touchdowns (one rushing) to one interception. At the time, his 33 completions and 367 yards set franchise playoff records. His 46 career playoff touchdown passes also broke Joe Montana’s long-standing record for the most in playoff history.

For Brady, this win marked another unforgettable comeback to add to his resume. For that reason, it gets lost in the shuffle and doesn’t get the respect it deserves, which is astonishing given the Patriots capped 2014 with a Super Bowl win over the Seahawks.
