The long New England Patriots playoff drought has finally ended after one grueling year. Mac Jones has led the Pats back to the postseason, and their successful “bridge year” campaign has led them to … frigid cold Buffalo to take on the AFC East champion Bills.

Just as we all predicted, right?

This postseason, we’re getting treated to a third battle between these two sides this season. In the first one, Jones tossed just three passes, Sean McDermott lost his mind, and Bill Belichick won a masterpiece on the road. The second game? Eh, let’s not talk about it; Stefon Diggs’ NSFW celebration was the enduring image.

Patriots Injury Report for Super Wild Card Weekend

The following New England Patriots players have been ruled out for tonight’s playoff matchup against the Buffalo Bills:

Isaiah Wynn (hip/ankle)

With Wynn out, though, the Patriots have one of two options: either move Trent Brown to left tackle and bring Michael Onwenu off the bench to play right tackle, or entrust Justin Herron, who replaced Wynn last week after nine snaps, at left tackle. Worth noting that Brown hasn’t practiced at LT since OTAs.

Expect more confirmed inactives before kickoff, because the following 12 players have been deemed questionable.

Christian Barmore (ankle)

Damien Harris (hamstring)

Adrian Phillips (knee)

Jakobi Meyers (thigh)

David Andrews (shoulder)

Dont’a Hightower (knee)

Kyle Dugger (hand)

Jamie Collins (ankle)

Lawrence Guy (shoulder)

Brandon King (toe)

Cody Davis (wrist)

Nick Folk (knee)

Patriots vs Bills Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick

According to our friends at WynnBET, the Bills are currently four-point home favorites (-4). Both Buffalo and New England have -110 odds (bet $110 to win $100) to cover the spread. Conversely, the Patriots are +165 to win outright on the moneyline, so bet $100 to win $165, while the Bills are -200 (bet $200 to win $100). The over/under for tonight is set at 44 points with both sides receiving -110 odds.

We had planned on picking Buffalo to win and cover, but the expected frigid weather conditions could play to New England’s strengths: smash-mouth football and suffocating defense. With the wind expected to hold up, though, Josh Allen will likely end up making the difference.

Expect a nail-biter that sees the home side prevail.

Bills 20, Patriots 17.
