The New England Patriots are two weeks removed from posting a shutout against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football.

By all accounts, it’s right up there with the 45-7 drubbing of the Browns the week prior as the win of the season.

For now, though, we have to turn back the clock and focus on the trip to Atlanta. And no, it’s not to shower more praise on the defense’s behalf. With five games left on the schedule, there’s plenty of time for that.

So, what’s all the fuss about? We’re glad you asked.

It appears the Patriots have once again been victims of locker room thievery following a game against the Falcons.

A photo circulating on Twitter shows Mac Jones’ game-worn wristband that was allegedly stolen out of Atlanta’s locker room. It’s being speculated that a Falcons employee is responsible for swiping the missing object.

Did Patriots QB Mac Jones get his wristband stolen in Atlanta?

Not again!

Patriots fans will be quick to remember that Tom Brady’s game-worn jersey from the team’s Super Bowl LI victory (as well as another jersey) was stolen from a bag he had put in New England’s locker room.

It took over a month, but the uniforms were tracked down in Mexico in possession of Martin Mauricio Ortega, a member of the international media.

This obviously won’t get as much publicity as that scandal, but it really makes you wonder why this keeps happening when the Patriots play the Falcons. The only thing separating this incident from the SB LI fiasco is that Ortega wasn’t involved … at least, we hope that’s the case. Clearly, having playsheet information floating around could be more damaging than a beloved jersey, which has exclusively an emotional impact.

Oddly enough, Jones wasn’t the only victim from the road trip. Third-string quarterback Jarrett Stidham, who left Atlanta down a pair of game socks, was seemingly the victim of the same offender.

This text exchange seems to depict a Falcons employee admitting to stealing the items and selling them for a profit. The worst part? They apparently plan to strike again when Brady and the Buccaneers travel to Atlanta this weekend.

What is going on here!?

Again, there’s no way to know what actually happened, but Mercedes-Benz Stadium would be wise to have a couple extra security guards posted up outside the Buccaneers away locker room this Sunday.

If they don’t err on the side of caution, this time next week we could be talking about Brady’s wristband and Kyle Trask’s socks being AWOL.

Can somebody please get to the bottom of this? Can somebody ask Mac Jones if he’s aware of any discrepancy here? We need to find out if we should actually be worried. Can you imagine if the Patriots had an employee accused of doing this?
