Clemson. Andrew Booth Jr.. Pick Analysis. CB. player. 879. Scouting Report. 2

Cornerback is another position with one player who’s way ahead of the pack, as LSU’s Derek Stingley will come off the board very early. If anyone has an advantage when it comes to grabbing the CB2 spot, it’s Booth, who could form quite the tandem next to JC Jackson for the next few seasons.

Booth might not be the best tackler, but Belichick has shown he’s willing to take cornerbacks that struggle in that area if they can cover in man and zone while creating turnovers. Booth can do that, as he’s a feisty competitor with years of production in an elite conference.

Andrew Booth Jr. should be a game-changer in the pros.

Jackson is a solid corner, but the secondary looks less lethal without Stephon Gilmore. While it might be a bit hyperbolic to compare him to someone like Gilmore, it’s not crazy to say that someone as advanced as Booth in both his on-field technique and football acumen has Pro Bowl potential.

For as good as Jackson has been, Jalen Mills has been a dramatic downgrade from Jason McCourty, and that could prompt Belichick to attack that position hard in the draft. Booth might be his next great developmental project at cornerback.
