It’s not hyperbolic to say that Mac Jones has looked better than any other rookie quarterback this season.

What makes the start to Jones’ rookie year so impressive is that the Patriots’ offensive line has been a revolving door through six weeks. David Andrews is somehow the only member of that group to play in all six games.

That simply isn’t sustainable, so the Patriots’ OL better get healthy given the caliber of pass rushers that await on the schedule.

Once Week 8 rolls round, New England will face Joey Bosa, Brian Burns and Myles Garrett in consecutive games.

All three studs will pose problems for Jones, but Garrett might be the most daunting matchup for a myriad of reasons. What makes us say that? Well, the Browns superstar has Jones’ gravestone as part of his Halloween decorations.

Check this out, Patriots fans.

Browns DE Myles Garrett is ready to terrorize Mac Jones in Week 10.

As far as Halloween decorations go, Garrett might take the cake among NFL players. Having the gravestone of seven QBs he’s facing this season in front of his house is genius, and not at all cocky given the way he’s performed.

Unfortunately for Jones, he finds himself front and center, right next to Kyler Murray and Joe Burrow. The Patriots don’t play the Browns until Week 10, but Garrett clearly has that matchup circled on his calendar.

That’s not a great sign for Jones, as Garrett is the consensus favorite to take home Defensive Player of the Year honors. Through six games, the former No. 1 overall pick leads the league in tackles for loss (eight), sacks (seven), quarterback hits (16) and pressures (23).

Like we said, you can get away with cold-blooded decorations like this when you’re producing the way Garrett has this season.

While Bill Belichick is a master when it comes to neutralizing an opponent’s best player, no game plan has proven capable of stopping Garrett, who might just be the best defensive player in the NFL not named Aaron Donald.

For the Patriots’ sake, they better hope Trent Brown is recovered from his nagging calf injury by Week 10. The behemoth right tackle has played just seven snaps this season. If he’s unable to go, Garrett could have a field day, but we’ll cross that bridge when the time comes.

As for Jones, well, he couldn’t have expected Year 1 hazing to extend beyond the Patriots’ locker room. The level-headed rook will surely brush this off, but we wouldn’t blame him if chills ran down his spine after he spotted is name on one of Garrett’s gravestones.
