Darrelle Revis just claimed that nobody likes the way Bill Belichick runs the New England Patriots.

There are a lot of head coaches making headlines in the NFL lately for the very wrong reasons. Head coach Bill Belichick can now add his name to that list — though for much, much less shocking reasons

Another former Patriot, Super Bowl champion Darrelle Revis, has come out with some unsavory comments on the coach he shares a ring with.

On the latest episode of the I AM ATHLETE podcast, Revis straight up said he did not enjoy his time with New England, despite winning a championship.

“Nobody likes it in the locker room,” he claimed.

Revis went on to pick apart the “Patriots Way” philosophy for being too intense, saying, “When you play with the New England Patriots, there’s a lot of pressure every time you walk in the door because it’s a lot of tension…there’s other philosophies to win and it doesn’t have to be that way.”

Sure, it doesn’t have to be “that way.” But “that way” has won Belichick six Super Bowl championships with New England.

Revis played for the Patriots for just one season in 2014. He was First-Team All-Pro that season and helped New England take down the Seattle Seahawks to earn the highest championship title in the league. The veteran cornerback then returned to the New York Jets, where he spent his first six seasons, before retiring in 2017 as a Kansas City Chief. Revis never made it past the Wild Card round of the playoffs after leaving the Patriots.

Winning Super Bowls looks pretty fun from afar, but it’s okay if Revis would rather lose with the Jets and “enjoy” his time in the league — though it might be better for him if he doesn’t claim that nobody likes the New England atmosphere next time.
