3. Arizona Cardinals

Anyone have the Cardinals as the NFL’s lone remaining undefeated team through four weeks? Us neither, but Arizona proved their hot start was no fluke when they thrashed the Rams this past Sunday on the road at SoFi Stadium.

The Cards’ offense is firing on all cylinders. Kyler Murray is the MVP favorite. DeAndre Hopkins is terrorizing opposing secondaries. They’ve even helped revive AJ Green, who looked washed over his final two years in Cincinnati.

As far as Arizona’s defense is concerned, their pass rush is elite with Chandler Jones and JJ Watt leading the charge. Their secondary can be had, but it’s actually held up well, allowing just 221.5 passing yards over four games.

With that being said, if the Cards are serious about holding off the Rams in the NFC West, signing Gilmore would have sent quite the message to the rest of the league. The only piece they’re missing on defense is a lockdown corner.

Jones and Watt have the pass rush humming. Budda Baker is as elite as they come at the safety position, and Isaiah Simmons, Jordan Hicks and Markus Golden form a lively linebacking corps that flies all over the field.

Add Gilmore to the mix and we might be looking at a sleeper Super Bowl contender. Guess not, though.
