From what we know about former New England Patriots QB Cam Newton, the question isn’t, “Does he have a burner Twitter account?” but rather, “How many burner Twitter accounts does he typically operate on any given day?”

A recent Barstool Sports exposé appears to have uncovered something resembling one of them, a woman named Betty Love (aka the Partridge Lady), who has devoted most of her recent musings to how the Patriots did Cam wrong, as well as the many shortcomings of Mac Jones, both on and off the field.

Miss Love seems rather obsessed with the fact that Newton was railroaded over the final months of his time in New England, and has been working overtime to prove collusion and the like, calling out the coaching staff by name.

Is there a chance this is all innocent? Of course! Sure. There are plenty of people who log onto Twitter every single day to live out their obsessions in real time, and who are we to stop them?

Betty could be a paralegal or a parking attendant who logs on throughout the day to fervently defend Cam Newton’s honor.

Or … you know … not that.

Patriots: This “Cam Newton burner account” is defending itself.

In recent days, since the publication of Barstool’s take on the whole thing, Love has turned vicious, attacking the credibility of the piece’s author and accusing him of slander for raising questions.

Here’s the thing, though. If it is Cam’s account, that’s nothing but fun. I hold no ill will toward the ex-Patriots quarterback if he’s operating Betty. It would be a natural reaction, in that case.

And, for more evidence … the emoji use?

Sorry, but I’m not exactly buying that a random middle-aged woman would plop a blood drop emoji in the middle of her statement — and yes, “cold-blooded” is something of a catchphrase for this account. You’ll see it repeated.

The account has spent several days trying to get Twitter to punish Jerry Thornton for writing the initial speculative piece, but this tweet was my personal favorite in that genre because it includes the misplaced phrase “he correct.”

Are … you saying he’s correct?

Oh, nevermind! That settles it!

It’s objectively true that, outside of one erroneous article discussing the January 6 rioters that seems so randomly placed it’s as if the account owner Googled “most popular article today” before copying and pasting the first result to throw us off the scent, nearly every “Betty Love” tweet is about Cam/a retweet about Cam.

There’s also a TMZ piece about a dog pooping on Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star. Just to get the totality of the message out there, I feel as if I must mention that.

But, oh, there was another interesting link, where the Mac Jones feud was briefly taken off the field.

Yup. We all remember. Even Betty Love.
