2. “The Patriots don’t have enough at quarterback.”

We’d be the first to admit that the Patriots don’t have an ideal quarterback situation on their hands entering the 2021 campaign. However, haters who think the group is a disaster with a severely limited ceiling are talking out of the side of their necks.

That isn’t to say Cam Newton and Mac Jones should inspire the same level of confidence as a Patrick Mahomes, but holding the duo to that standard would be equally dimwitted.

The bottom line? Newton, and eventually Jones, despite their flaws, should be more than enough to steer the Patriots back into the playoffs.

No, quarterback shouldn’t be an issue for the Patriots in 2021.

There’s nothing wrong with that, either. Winning a championship is obviously a different story, but any fans who think the Patriots are deadset on a title this season are just as delusional as the haters who insist on lambasting the team’s QB options.

Following the Patriots’ free agent splurge, Newton no longer has to put the offense (and team in general) on his back like last season. In other words, the former MVP can focus on what he can control as far as putting the offense in the best position to succeed.

If you’re asking for anything more than that, guess what? This isn’t 2015.
