2021 NFL Draft: Cardinals beef up the line

Since the Arizona Cardinals surprisingly fulfilled some of their need for thump along the DL by signing JJ Watt (yes, that really happened, not a fever dream), we’re going to give them another fast-rising, All-Pac 12 offensive lineman.

Vera-Tucker, a redshirt junior, employs a nasty vertical push at the LOS in order to effectively get to the second level, and is the latest highly-decorated SC lineman to emerge from the venerated program and immediately get a pro shot.

If he doesn’t go here, he’ll be off the board by the second round for sure.

Michigan. player. EDGE. Kwity Paye. 17. 28. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

The Las Vegas Raiders simply never follow the mocks. You know this by now.

Without any Alabama or Clemson players left for Jon Gruden to have fallen in love with on the national stage, what about EDGE specialist Kwity Paye, a Michigan pass rusher with one of the best narratives in the draft?

Paye was born in Guinea after his mother fled the Liberian civil war, and managed to work his way all the way up to the verge of living out an NFL dream. A truly special ascendancy, and for someone who’s been mocked as high as the New York Giants at No. 11, you can’t really fault Gruden for grabbing this grinder, even if it doesn’t follow the well-worn path.
