NFL Draft 2021: Watch out, Patriots. This pick is the Pitts.

This one could certainly sting New England, too, a team that built its most recent championship foundation around two-tight-end sets, and could thrive that way again with a pair of Kyles in Pitts and Rudolph.

Unfortunately, the Giants render that conversation moot in our mock — and we wouldn’t rule out the Eagles doing the very same thing a few picks earlier.

All in all, Bill Belichick will have to be floored by Pitts’ projections to make this move, one year after selecting both Dalton Keene and Devin Asiasi, as skeptical of them as you may already be.

New York, burned once before by “Pro Bowl” TE Evan Engram, grab a better fit here with more versatility.

2020’s darlings, the San Francisco 49ers, suddenly have a roster full of holes once again, potentially led by their quarterback … who may soon be our quarterback.

This is an ideal scenario for the Patriots, in which star LT Trent Williams departs once again and could be available to them, while the Niners beef up the line in snooze-worthy fashion by selecting perhaps the draft’s second-best blocker.

There’s hardly a consensus there, though.
